I composed this lion face from a collection of photos in my possession and painted it on compressed and wrapped construction foam core (Schluter Kerdi-board). It's sturdy enough but canvas is still my preferred base.
Shades of grey on the edge of the old cemetery in Victoria BC painted in the company of the esteemed group, the Alfrescoes. Of course it's for sale! Nudge nudge. Contact me on the FB page and we'll talk.
Gone to an excellent home in Texas....a Blackberry bush in an urban landscape surrounded by splendid color. It's such fun painting in this loose style. Only ONE brush was used = Denman synthetic 770F number 6, made in China an sold by Opus Victoria BC. It's a half-inch wide and quite springy.
I washed it with soap and water and it was fine.
