Saxe Point

I was drawn to the light on the left rocks versus the rocks in the shadows on the right. Oils 11 x 14.

Thanks Jeffrey. I used no white in my colours - instead I used Naples Yellow Light by Stevenson and Neutral Grey number H 369 by Holbein. White tends to kill everything it touches but these two substitutes ensure that your regular blues, yellows and reds aren't tinted back. I think that's why the RYB colours in the "Saxe Point" painting are unsullied and unaffected. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it (until the next theory occurs to me). Thanks for prompting me to write this stuff!
